Anambra 2021: Okeke Chika Jerry of BOOT Party Congratulates Soludo, Advises Fellow Contestants

By Izunna Okafor, Awka

The governoship candidate of the BOOT Party for the just-concluded Anambra State 2021 governoship election, Mr. Okeke Chika Jerry has congratulated the winner of the highly contested election, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), who was declared winner few hours ago by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He wrote:

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR DEAR BROTHER, PROFESSOR CHUKWUMA SOLUDU!!!

It's not that he is most qualified but in this election, he was a preferred and most favoured candidate among us. I therefore urge all of us that contested with him to wish him well and as well join him in the task of rebuilding our dear state if it will please him to invite us.

Special thanks to my dear brother Senator Andy Ubah, my brother and friend Val Ozigbo, and our triple professor Dr Godwin Maduka for putting up a good fight. These are great people. I will also thank my distinguished senator, Dr Ifeanyi Uba, Dr Obiora Okonkwo, Agbasimalo as well as our own industrious Overdoze, my good friend Etiaba, my brother Affamation, and a very good man in the person of Nze Akachukwu and so many others that fought this war together. I salute and congratulate us all. We really risked our lives in this contest but to God be the glory, we saw it to the end. May the souls of those that lost their lives rest in peace. Amen!

We put in our best but we couldn't make it though there were some challenges that denied us victory. But in the interest of peace and harmony, let's support our erudite professor in order to keep Anambra State united and peaceful having lost a lot of precious lives in this ill-fated election, the worst in the history of Anambra State.

Professor Soludo, the now governor-elect has promised to extend hands of fellowship to us all. Though Obiano gave us such promise under the same APGA in 2013, I was never given opportunity to go near him till today. It's in deed heart breaking! I strongly hope and believe that Prof Soludo's promise will not be like that of Obiano in 2013. Only what Obiano did was to pay attention to influencial candidates among us leaving most of us from the so called 'small parties' outside the gate. Such is not good.

My advice to my fellow contestants is that we should shelve any plans of taking this matter to court base on what that happened in Imo State. Doing that will distabilize Soludo administration and thereby setting Anambra State backwards. Let's leave it to God who is the only perfect judge.

I earlier campaigned against APGA, PDP and APC because of bad government in Nigeria promising my people especially the youths that BOOT Party would be the best for ndi Anambra. But now that Ndi Anambra decided to continue with APGA by voting massively for them, I have nothing to do rather than to submit myself to the wish of people and again submit myself to the constituted authority as instructed us in the Bible. My ambition will then continue after SOLUDO administration. I humbly advise all of you to do so for peace to reign in Anambra State. Another four years or eight years will soon come. Any of us can still be governor.

Once more, I say a big congratulations to Professor Soludo, the governor-elect, Anambra State. May your reign be successful! Amen!

Thanks to all of you as you share and pray over  this message.
