Unknown Gunmen Strike Again, Kill 3 Policemen in Anambra, Injure 2 Others

It was a tragic on Sunday, as Unknown Gunmen struck again and gunned down three policemen on duty in Onitsha, Anambra State.

According to reports, the incident, which occured at a security post mounted by the police operatives along Ukaegbu—Ezeiweka Road in Onitsha happened around 9 AM.

Reports also have it that two other policemen were also injured during the unexpected attack, while a patrol van belonging to the police was also set ablaze by the gunmen.

According eyewitnesses, the gunmen may have been angered by the alleged extortion by the operatives at the security post.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said "The information is still sketchy. I will get back to you.”
